Igniter Media Group (who usually owns the Top 10 slots at companies like SermonSpice and WorshipHouse Media) has announced what they’re up to these days. I blogged before about their new Igniter Backs Volume 2. In their latest newsletter they announced two new product lines. They mentioned that one of the new product lines is called Bumpers. I played around with a demo of this a couple of weeks ago. It should be pretty cool. Their second new product line is their Igniter Tracks, which I’m excited about testing out and using on a Sunday morning with the Click Track feature.

Igniter Uber Pack
I have no doubt that some of you reading this blog have never heard of Igniter and don’t own any of their products. Let me introduce you to their Uber Pack.  This would be one of the best investments and additions to your media library that you could get. I can’t recommend it highly enough. The Uber Pack comes with all four volumes of Igniter Videos and both volumes of Igniter Backs – ALL for only $199.95 – that’s a savings of $120! Buy it – you won’t regret it.

The Nativity

Yesterday I mentioned that it’s time to start planning for Christmas. I’ve already heard of some churches that are doing something associated with the new movie “The Nativity”. Outreach has put together several resources if your church wants to do something with this movie theme. Check them out (some are FREE).

Here’s an announcement from my friends at Midnight Oil Productions:

Two Christmas resources for the price of one…

For three days only–now through Saturday night–get two of Midnight Oil’s beautiful, full-featured Christmas resources for the price of
one. Titles include:

NewSpring Church logo
Remember me mentioning Perry Noble in an earlier blog? Perry is pastor of NewSpring Church in Anderson, SC. This past Sunday they had their biggest Sunday EVER. Remember, this is in Anderson, SC (not a metropolis): They had over 8200 people in attendance and at least 214 people accepted Christ. Say what? Read that again. 8200 people, of which, 214 accepted Christ….in Anderson, SC. It’s a TOTAL God-thing. I mention them to brag on God and to encourage you to keep an eye on them. He blogged about this past Sunday HERE and HERE.

MyVideoBible logo

Have you heard of MyVideoBible (As seen on TV – if that helps). Here’s some text/explanation from their website:

The new online service is so much more than simply video on your TV, it is a personal, involving product. The online version not only delivers the Bible to where it best suits you (anywhere you can log onto a PC), but also can help you read the Bible in a structured, managed way.

With over ten years in the making, The WatchWORD Bible brings you the whole New Testament word for word as a video stream, but also offers integrated reading plans, full text search and automatically updated log. Even better, the online version gives you instant chapter selection and the ability to watch just what you want, where you want and when you want.

Once you start watching, you won’t want to stop. God’s word leaps from the printed page to your computer – to make reading God’s Word easier and more enjoyable than ever before.

FREE:
MyVideoBible is now giving away 15 chapters from The Book of Acts COMPLETELY FREE so you can see for yourself.

CrossOver

CrossOver Mac allows you to install your favorite Windows applications and games on Mac OS X. CrossOver includes an easy to use, single click interface, which makes installing Windows software simple and fast. Once installed, your application integrates seamlessly in OS X. Just click and run your application directly from the OS X Finder. Clicking a Windows file or document — including email attachments — will launch the appropriate Windows program, allowing you to work on the files. Best of all, you do it all easily and affordably, without needing a Microsoft operating system license.

Adding your favorite Windows software is easy, using their normal installation CDs. Just place a Windows CD in your Mac, and CrossOver will recognize it and offer to begin the installation process. CrossOver then completes the installation and configures your application to run on your Mac. That’s all there is to it.

FYI – The CrossOver Mac product is currently available for FREE as part of public beta test.

PERSONAL THOUGHTS:
This could be the solution for many churches wanting to use presentation software programs like EasyWorship and MediaShout on a Mac. Anyone done this, yet? What are your thoughts? Comments?

Speaking of MediaShout – the MediaShout store has a new FREE download from Igniter Backs Vol. 2, or you can get it straight from Igniter Media Group. Go get it!

Download iTube

Not to be confused with the other iTube! for Mac OS X, which is designed for easy location of online streaming video, this iTube makes downloading YouTube videos easier for Windows users. Put in the URL for the YouTube video you want to download, iTube converts the video to an iPod compatible MPEG-4 file and automatically adds the video to your iTunes library. No more hassling with multiple step processes to convert an YouTube video. Paste in the URL of the page on YouTube, hit Go and you’re done.
